ViViD TOUR 2014 "THE PENDULUM~ALIVE~" was supposed to start on 2014/05/23. However due to a sudden injury of the drummer Ko-ki, all of the concerts except for the final at Zepp Tokyo were canceled. A big wall that suddenly appeared in front of ViViD. But the 5 of them got through the challenges with their strong willpower and sense of unity.
On the concert day it had been raining since the morning. Even though the rain had got slightly weaker after mid-day, the weather was still unstable. But no matter the weather, many fans had still gathered to ZEPP TOKYO that day. As the clock hit the start the lights fell down, and instead of SE, the intro for "天音 / amaoto" started playing. The silhouettes of the members were reflected big to the white curtain that was set in front of the stage. It was the first time for ViViD they made an entrance like this. The curtain fell down and ViViD dressed in white costumes were standing on the stage.
"We came here today because we wanted to sing this song with you! You will sing it with us, right!" Shin shouted and the audience answered with loud cheers. With "Calling" and "OVER THE LIMIT" ViViD-like rock tunes continued to be played. After finishing up with the hard songs, they switched over to ballads. Shin's melting voice and the melodic performance invited the audience to a world that existed only in this place on this special moment.
"We made you all worry. We are very sorry about that. We were worried about how everyone would react in today's live, but you all look so good I was relieved. Thank you", Shin said while smiling slightly. Next to speak was Ko-ki. "I'm back! I'm so glad to be able to play drums. Don't worry, I'll make a blast today!" With his words loud cheers arose from the audience.
After "ring" Ko-ki performed a drum solo with supporters wrapped around his wrists. The audience fell silent for a moment to his marvelous drum play, from which you could not even guess that he had had an injury that would have required 2 weeks to be completely healed. As his drum play got harder, loud cheers and applauds arose from the audience. After that the atmosphere of the audience rose even more with "RED", and just as you thought that the live had reached it's peak, the atmosphere rose even more with the next song. The play with no end to be seen continued all the way until the last song of the main part of the live - "「夢」～ムゲンノカナタ～ / Yume ~Mugen no Kanata~".
The calls for encore echoed through the venue. "Your voice's are small!" bassist Ivu's voice echoed in the hall, and the members appeared on the stage once more. "This encore call was one that would definitely be in the best 3 among all lives we've done until now. If we would always get calls as big as this, we would come back for an encore as many times as we have time to!" with Shin's words the audience got excited immediately. The worries the fans had had during these 2 weeks must have all been blown away when watching the members talk with smiles on their faces.
During encore they played "Take-off", "光-HIKARI-" and "Good Morning World". However the audience was not satisfied yet, as not one person in the audience moved. Calls for encore filled the venue out again, and as they had promised earlier, after a while RENO appeared on the stage with a bath towel. As all of the members appeared on the stage, Shin said, "This unplanned feeling feels so good!" As the last song of the night, they played "survive" with big smiles on their faces.
"Today was really the best day ever! Thank you so much! This was ViViD!"
